The 4th Waveis inevitable and can be severe and deadly but we are not helpless

The 4th Waveis inevitable and can be severe and deadly but we are not helpless. We need to give ourselves the best protection against COVID by getting vaccinated. We also need to give ourselves extra protection by getting the booster if 6 months have passed since our last shot. The virus will continue to find the unprotected and vulnerable. To date 75.1 % of our adults are fully vaccinated but this is not enough as almost a quarter are not protected. Also our 12 to 17 year olds still remain vulnerable with only 13.4 % fully vaccinated. It’s our children who will mainly be affected by the 4th wave but it’s the vulnerable adults who likely will die. We had 28 death in the last waves, many unvaccinated and avoidable. Let us all have a great Christmas and carnival but give ourselves the best chance of having a great New Year by going out to get vaccinated. Please do not hesitate. Dr. Cameron Wilkinson

Due to the generosity of the government and people of Taiwan working closely with the NIA, today marks an historic day for Nevis as we officially open the Park at Pinney’s and allow the general public to finally enjoy what we have been working on for the past few years. Please join us at 4.30pm for the official ceremony and thereafter for movies on the amphitheater lawn and the Taiwanese Trade Show in the visitor center. This is a dream realized and has been delivered on time and on budget as promised. Praise be to God!
