UNESCO AMBASSADOR AND NATIONAL COMMISSION REPS MEET WITH MINISTER AND PERMANENT SECRETARY OF EDUCATION
Basseterre: St. Kitts, Friday, November 11, 2022: St. Kitts and Nevis’ Permanent Delegate to
UNESCO, Ambassador David Doyle, Secretary General for St. Kitts and Nevis National
Commission, Ms Dorothy Warner and Project Officer, Mrs. Shirmel Dore-Henry met virtually
on Tuesday 8 th November with Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley and Permanent
Secretary, Mrs. Lisa Pistana to update them on the operations of the National Commission. The
purpose of the meeting was to inform the recently elected Minister of the role of UNESCO
particularly in the advancement of education and in the development of the Federation in
general.

ESTRIDGE AND THE EDGAR T MORRIS PRIMARY SCHOOLS ON THE VERGE OF MERGING
Basseterre: St. Kitts, Monday, November 07, 2022: Officials from the Ministry of Education engaged members of the Estridge and Tabernacle communities in formal discussions surrounding the decision to merge both the Estridge and Edgar T Morris Primary Schools into one institution. The community sensitization endeavours were held on Tuesday, November 01 and Thursday, November 03 at the Estridge and the Edgar T. Morris Primary Schools respectively.
