Police issue wanted bulletin for ex-police officer

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 3, 2018 – Police in St. Kitts on Wednesday issued a wanted bulletin for a former police officer in connection with the gun-related death of Constable Brian Pacquette.

Dijon Warner, 24, who also served as a bodyguard for Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris, is wanted on a manslaughter charge for the June 23 2016 death of the Dominica-born lawman.

Shots fired during a police chase in St. Kitts Tuesday night
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 2, 2018 – Multiple reports of a police chase in which shots were fired.
According to reports police fired at the gunmen who were driving a white vehicle. It was not immediately clear if the occupants of the vehicle exchanged fire.
The two to three mile chase from the village area reportedly ended on a dirt road close to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the West Farm area.
According to reports the occupants ditched the car and escaped on foot. It was not immediately known if anyone in the car was hit or the vehicle damaged from police fire.
Police and members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force are said to be on the scene.

Jamaican woman arrested and charged for forgery

 Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 2, 2018 – A national of Jamaica has been arrested and charged for uttering a forged document.

Police said Hertha Jackson, who resides in Lower Monkey Hill, St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence.

Jackson has been granted bail in the sum of $15,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 4, 2018.

She is to report to the Basseterre Police Station every Monday and Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

11 persons charged for possession of one firearm

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 2, 2018 – Police in St. Kitts have charged 11 persons for possession of one illegal weapon found in a home in Sandy Point.

On April 21, a search by police resulted in the seizure of one Hi-Point 380ACP with live rounds in the magazine.

Now police say all eleven persons – nine males and two females – have been charged separately with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition which took place in Sandy Point.

They are  Corriene Belle, Zamika Richardson, Rinel Richardson, Kelvis Freeman, Jakim Hazel, Darren Walters, Elvin Mills, Steve Adams, all of Sandy Point; Omar Tucker of Lime Kiln, Hashim Douglas of The Village and Abdul Chacon of Lambert’s Village.

A police press release did not state if the 11 are still in their custody or have been granted bail.
