Two additional acts announced for St. Kitts Music Festival 2019

The St. Kitts Music Festival Committee has announced two additional acts to the already stellar 2019 line-up.

Committee Chairman Damion Hobson made the announcement while on Freedom FM’s The Morning Express Wednesday, revealing Vanessa Bling- Gaza Slim, a dancehall artiste out of Jamaica for the Friday night and conscious Reggae artiste Mykal Somer, a Kittitian living in Miami for the Saturday night.

ISLAND MAIN ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT MOVES INTO PHASE TWO AS WORK COMMENCES IN SEVERAL RURAL COMMUNITIES
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 1, 2019 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Residents living in the rural parts of St. Kitts, particularly on the Eastern side, would have taken notice of the construction work that has commenced to upgrade the sidewalks, as phase two of the Island Main Road Rehabilitation and Upgrade Project gets underway.

Engineer at the Public Works Department, Mr. George Gilbert, stated in a recent interview that there is a total of nine local sub-contractors who are facilitating the road work up to Saddlers Village. The work will include the relocation of water lines, sidewalks and drains.

Development Bank supports Indian Castle Fisher Folks to host fishing competition

Charlestown, NevisMay 1, 2019 (DBSKN) — Indian Castle Bay, Hanley’s Road, in Nevis will on Labour Monday (May 6) be a beehive of activities with the hosting of the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis-sponsored Sixth Annual Indian Castle Fisher Folks Association’s Fishing Competition.

Following the disappointment experienced last year during the fifth edition of the popular fishing competition when boats did not go out to sea due to inclement weather and rough sea conditions, President of the Indian Castle Fisher Folks Association Mr Stephen Moore is upbeat that the weather will this year accommodate the competition.
