LaVallee Comes Alive Thanks to Team UNITY and New World Class Six Senses Hotel Resort

Dr Timothy Harris, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Mohammed Asaria, founder of Range Developments, and Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses, and friends, celebrate the official launch of Six Senses St Kitts
Lavallee, Sandy Point-St.Kitts (Sunday 2th March, 2018):- LaValle Greens in Sandy Point on the Northwestern Tip of St.Kitts will be the home of a new Six Senses Luxury Resort Hotel. This was confirmed at a signing ceremony held on Sunday MARCH 4th at the Park Hyatt Hotel. The SIX Sense Hotel Resort Project will be the second luxury brand hotel developed on the island by Range Development , the developers of the Caribbean’s Number 1 New hotel Park Hyatt-St.Kitts.

LaVallee Greens has been the center of much controversy and attention over the years as the previous Dr. Denzil Douglas administration had borrowed some near $300 Million to develop the area. However the development never materialized with little to show, if anything,  beyond a desalination plant and an infamous 4 Mile Long Green Fence which has now disappeared likely as a result of larceny. As a result the country was plunged deeper into what became a historic debt hole which landed the federation in the hands of the IMF.

Prime Minister Dr. Hon Timothy Harris stated the significance of bringing the new resort to LaVallee,Sandy Point .

“Today we are giving La Vallee Greens its first historic opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our Country and the welfare of our people.  The failures of the past, to bring any meaningful development to La Vallee are now being corrected.  La Vallee comes alive thanks to Team Unity.  But more than this, for the first time not just a hotel but a 5 Star Resort will come to the north western tip of St Kitts and it will bring with it an estimated 1000 jobs during the construction phase, and hundreds with the grand opening of the Six Senses Hotel.

The albatross of nearly 500 acres of land laying waste is now lifted and hope and opportunities spring eternal for our people.

Even as we catalyze the economy we begin to liquidate the $61,828,600.00 debt to the St Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank.  This debt was as a terrible legacy of profligacy during the bygone era.,” declared Prime Minister Harris .

The Six Senses Resort Project is expected to break ground in September with  a completion date set for last quarters in 2021. Near 1000 Jobs are expected to be provided during the construction and operational stages of the Hotel.
