Eastern Caribbean Forecast: A weak tropical wave in the vicinity
of the Windward Islands and islands further south will combine with
available moisture to generate variable cloudy periods and some
thundery showers over Trinidad and Tobago and to a lesser extent, the
southern Windward Islands today. Variable cloudy periods and localized
showers are also expected over the northern Windward Islands as well
as over Puerto Rico due to the combination of an upper trough and other
local effects. Meanwhile, a low to mid-level trough will move over the
Leeward Islands later tonight; however, because of low moisture levels,
rainfall activity will be restricted, not only today, but also tonight when
the trough enters the region.
