Eastern Caribbean Forecast: Moisture and instability in the
atmosphere over the Northern Caribbean will heighten the chances of
showers and thunderstorms today and tonight across Puerto Rico
east to the Leeward Islands. Also, some swells propagating to the
south from Hurricane Teddy will continue to produce hazardous surfs
for beachgoers; hence, high surf advisories and warnings will be in
effect for the British Virgin Islands and the Leeward Islands.
Meanwhile, ridging along with low moisture levels will keep the
chances of showers low under partly cloudy skies over the Windward
Islands south to Trinidad and Tobago today. Some shallow moisture
moving into the region tonight will increase the chances of showers to
moderate.
