Winds: Northeast with speeds ranging from 14 – 22mph with gusts to as high as 35 mph.
Seas: 1.8 – 2.4m or 6 – 8ft. A small craft caution is in effect for today
where it will be replaced by a small craft advisory particularly for the
northern facing waters.
Weather Forecast for St. Kitts & Nevis: Partly cloudy with a 40
percent or a moderate chance of showers.
Weather tonight: Partly cloudy becoming cloudy mainly after midnight with a 60 percent or moderate chance of showers.
Weather tomorrow: The Low Pressure System that is currently affecting the
Island is Forecast to give way to a High Pressure System. This is Forecast to
strengthen into Friday, resulting in a tightening of the Pressure Gradient across the area. As such, winds are expected to increase and seas are expected to respond accordingly, becoming very rough. Additional information will be reflected in this Evening’s Forecast.
Eastern Caribbean Forecast: A Low Pressure Centre, east -northeast of
the Leeward Islands will generate some unsettled weather mainly for the northern Eastern Caribbean Islands beginning today and the chance for showers will increase even further into tonight. Cloudy spells with periodic showers and high winds are forecast as well as a deterioration in the sea conditions expected to become elevated to dangerous levels. Warnings and advisories will be issued accordingly. For the rest of the area, at most a moderate chance of showers is anticipated where the winds will be on the lighter side.
