Azamara’s newest ship, the Azamara Onward, will sail a world cruise from Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 5, 2024.
The 155-night sailing will visit more than 40 countries on six continents. The Onward will do 22 overnight stays and 27 late nights in ports.
Azamara president Carol Cabezas said that the voyage would visit the Seven Wonders of the World and destinations will include the Great Barrier Reef, the Galapagos and the Black Sea.
Azamara’s World Voyage includes $22,000 in amenities, including the company’s signature AzAmazing Evenings events that connect guests to the local culture of the destination, $7,000 in onboard credit, business-class air travel, a pre-voyage hotel stay and gala, and a premium beverage package for two.
Azamara is encouraging guests to add on overnight land excursions such as a three-night Great Wall of China tour to Beijing; a three-night Taj Mahal excursion to New Delhi; and a six-night Christ the Redeemer tour to Rio de Janeiro and Iguazu Falls.
Other immersive overnight experiences on the World Voyage include a stay on a Great Barrier Reef island, with glass-bottom boat excursions and snorkeling; a visit to Transylvania, Romania, to learn about Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula; and an exploration of the centuries-old rock-cut churches and “fairy chimneys” of Cappadocia, Turkey, with accommodation in a cave hotel.
Bookings are currently open to Azamara Circle Loyalty members only and will be open to all on Dec. 7.
Azamara in January was sold by Royal Caribbean to Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm.
