Eastern Caribbean Forecast: As hurricane Fiona moves northwestwards away from the
area, a ridge will build and stabilize conditions over the Leewards and islands further south today.
Skies over these islands will be generally partly cloudy to cloudy with a moderate chance of brief
showers. Tonight, a weak tropical wave will heighten the chance of some showers mainly over the
Windwards and Barbados. Meanwhile, lingering instability and moisture associated Fiona will
maintain cloudy skies with showers over the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico today but by tonight, a
reduction in showers is expected as the ridge pushes over these islands.
