Eastern Caribbean Forecast: Moisture and instability associated with an approaching tropical wave will cause variably cloudy skies and some showers over the southern Windwards, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago today. A higher chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected over those islands tonight as the wave axis passes. Similar weather is likely over portions of Puerto Rico later today because of local effects. Meanwhile, a relatively stable atmosphere over the Leewards and Virgin Islands will result in shower activity being restricted over these islands initially; However, by later this afternoon and into tonight, moisture moving in from the south will enhance the chance of showers around the Leewards.
