BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA CONGRATULATES ST. KITTS & NEVIS ON ATTAINING 40 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 27, 2023 (SKNIS) –The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela through its Embassy has congratulated the Government and people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis on its 40th Independence Day, which was celebrated on September 19, 2023.

In a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, H.E. Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, said:

“On behalf of the Venezuelan People and on my own, I would like to address you on the occasion of congratulating you, the Government and the People of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of your country’s Independence.

“Excellency, let me congratulate you for having completed a successful first year of governance at the head of the Federation, which will undoubtedly be able to overcome great challenges and reach important historical milestones, in addition to continuing to forge a path to sustainable development as a single region.

“I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for prosperity and well-being for you and the Kittitians and Nevisians, while I thank you for your invitation to participate in the ceremony of celebration of your Independence, hoping to count on your soon visit to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, reiterating our willingness to deepen bilateral relations for the benefit of our people, as well as to enhance the Latin American and Caribbean union through different multilateral spaces, such as ALBA-TCP, Petrocaribe and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
