Tiaunna Warner β Washington Archibald High School
Determined, confident and ambitious are hallmark qualities of fifteen (15) years old Tiaunna Darecia Ashante Warner. Born on June 8th, 2008, this multi-faceted teenager is the product of the tightly knit community of Saint Peters. Tiaunna is a consistent honor roll recipient and prides herself on educational advancement. She has so far attained three (3) CSEC subjects. Tiaunna is guided by the belief that hard work and dedication help to eliminate barriers to success. Thus, she has begun to lay the foundation for the life she aspires to.
Delicately coupled with her scholastic pursuits, Tiaunna is an ardent member of the St Peterβs Anglican Church and by extension, a member of the Anglican Young Peoples Association (AYPA), a guild of sanctuary server, a reader and also a member of the youth choir. Through her involvement in extracurricular activities at the Deane Glasford Primary School, her passion for performing arts blossomed – first as a dancer and then as a youth calypsonian. In her first attempt as a calypsonian, she placed 1st runner up in the 2017 β 2018 National Carnival Primary Junior Calypso Show and was crowned the following year. Tiaunna has also ventured into some aspects of dance and has honed her artistic skills through the SKN Majorettes. When Tiaunna is not studying, she basks in the joy of reading, as she believes that reading leads to creative stimulation of the mind. She is a TikTok fanatic and is of the firm belief that it strikes a balance for teenagers to be socially and creatively inclined. Tiaunna is a member of the Kidz Club, a group that promotes the empowerment of teenagers through skills development and community service.
Her petite stature is no indication of her potential. With her eyes set toward the career path of sonography, Tiaunna looks forward to the day when she can contribute on a national level to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging is carried out.
