Eastern Caribbean Forecast: A moist southeasterly wind flow associated with Hurricane Ernesto will heighten the chances of showers across the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico today. A stable atmosphere prevailing tonight will keep the chances of showers low. Meanwhile, some shallow moisture encroaching on the Windward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago well ahead of a tropical wave will keep the chances of showers moderate today. Tonight, a further influx of deeper moisture associated with the tropical wave will heighten the chances of showers and thunderstorms. A stable atmosphere persisting over the Leeward Islands will limit shower activity.
