Exciting Plans Unveiled For Agri-Night Market: Music Fest Edition

For the second year in a row, the Ministry of Agriculture, St. Kitts Music Festival
Committee, and the Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives will
stage the Agri-Night Market: Music Fest edition. This event will take place on
Wednesday June 26 between 5pm and 10pm at the Basseterre Public Market.

According to Chaira Flanders, Agriculture’s Head of Media and Communications,
various stakeholders in St Kitts and Nevis have announced their intention to participate in
this year’s Music Festival-themed Night Market. Notably, this year’s event coincides
with the staging of the 26th edition of the St Kitts Music Festival. Some of the features
and activities include food, drinks, music, entertainment and a Karaoke competition with
singers vying to win Music Fest tickets.

In addition to LIVE music by DJ Sugar Bowl, patrons can also expect to view and
purchase items from meat producers, fishers, agro-processors and small business owners,
keen on showcasing their products and services. Local delicacies such as goat water,
souse, cook up and black pudding will be available. For those with a sweet tooth, sugar
cake, fudge, tamarind jam and ice cream are some of the items that would whet your
appetite.

Registration for this local food promotion event will remain open through Friday June 21.
Interested vendors can sign up at the Basseterre Public Market, Department of
Agriculture, LaGuerite, Department of Marine Resources, and Ministry of Agriculture,
Building #16, Port Zante.

This year’s Festival will be staged at the historic Warner Park Cricket Stadium from June
27-29. Patrons are asked to log on to the Festival’s website:
