St Kitts and Nevis Labour government is second to none when it comes to people protection. These are the things that have been done:
- Increase in minimum wage, making it one of the highest in the region.
- Increase in civil servants pay
- Independence reset
- Increased STEP
- Stabilizing Lift
- Elevate
- Free college
- Increased pre-school subsidy
- Children’s medical fund
- School uniform program
- Food voucher program
- Electricity Subsidy
- Water subsidy
- Propane gas subsidy
- Adjusting duties and taxes on food to limit inflation
And more.
These are efforts directed to help our people. These people centered programs are costing about a quarter billion dollars yearly ($250, 000, 000), about a quarter of our annual budget.
This government is investing in its people.
While they go low we lift our people higher.
