BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 30th 2017 – The Federation’s Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris was absent from another important regional meeting, the third in two weeks and the fourth known for the year.
As the current chair of the Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP), Prime Minister Harris was scheduled to give remarks at a PANNCAP Regional Parliamentarians Forum in Kingston, Jamaica this morning but he never showed up.
This is the fourth regional meeting that Prime Minister Harris has skipped.
He was absent from Antigua and Barbuda’s 2nd Annual Citizenship by Investment Conference two weeks go where he was scheduled to speak.
Prime Minister Harris was also absent from the 47th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in the Turks and Caicos Islands on May 24th and 25th. Dr. Harris is Governor on the CDB Board of Governors.
Today (Tuesday 30th May 2017), Dr. Harris, Chair of the Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP), never showed up to give remarks.
Dr. Harris was also absent from the 28th Inter-Sessional of Caribbean Heads of Government in Georgetown, Guyana in February this year.
His absence from the last three regional meetings has prompted speculation the Prime Minister is avoiding Caribbean leaders and the media on the Ren Biao issue.
