St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN); The older brother of slain teen Leanna Napoleon has been charged with murder in connection to her death.
Brandon Lee Wells, said to be in his early 20s, had been taken into custody hours after police were led to where his missing sister’s body was buried. He was charged on Saturday (June 17).
The 17-year-old 5th form student, who resided at Keys Village with a guardian, disappeared May 8, and her brother was among the few persons taken into custody for questioning while police searched in vain.
Police have not said how they came by the information that the teen had been killed and buried in the hills of Olivees, however they confirmed the remains found in the location overnight Wednesday was in fact Leanna.
They have also not said how and when the girl was killed.
Unconfirmed reports indicate police may be on the hunt for other individuals connected to the killing.
Leanna is the third female killed in the federation this year, bringing the homicide toll to 15.
