REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, August, 04 2017, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period July 31 – August 4 2017.
ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Olando Otto of Conaree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
Arrested/Bailed: Raynaldo Jeffers of Russel Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply committed on Friday 28th July 2017 at Basseterre Police Station. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 4th September, 2017.
Bailed: Shakeem Norford of West Street, Newtown who was formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 4th September, 2017.
Bailed: Olandza Omo of Conaree who was arrested and charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply and was granted bailed in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at the Magistrate Court on 4thg September 2017
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search Warrants Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Fort Thomas Road, Stapleton’s Housing Development , New Town and John England Village.
Abandoned Properties: Police continues to execute searches of abandoned properties; most recent searches were done in the following areas: Old Road and Sandy Point.
Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A patrol of officers reported that they discovered and uprooted (327) Three Hundred and Twenty Seven marijuana Plants that were growing in pots ranging from three (3) to six (6) feet in height in the St. Peters area.
A combined patrol of officers of the Anti-Narcotics Unit and members of SKNDF, discovered, uprooted and seized a total of Six Hundred and eight plants. The plants ranged from three to (3-5) feet in height. The plants were found in two locations. The areas were Molineaux and Keys Village.
Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation. These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
