MP Robelto Hector To Face Criminal Charge

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Member of Parliament in the Nevis Island Assembly Robelto Hector will next week go before the Nevis Magistrate Court to answer to a criminal charge.

The former government minister in the NIA and present candidate for the Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) for the impending Nevis election stands charged with Battery, reportedly stemming from an incident in Arlene’s Bar on Government Road a month ago where according to the complainant, Hector slapped him during a heated political debate.

Although the alleged victim reported the incident to police and police eventually laid the charge, there was no mention of it in any of the police press releases informing of arrests, convictions and other criminal matters.
