CHAW CLUB DEDICATES ITS MONTHLY HEALTH WALK TO RECOVERY OF ROSALYN BRADSHAW-GRANT!

The Capisterre Health and Wellness (CHAW) Club under the auspices of the Global Lifestyle Foundation and other Sponsors had its monthly health and wellness walk yesterday starting at Golden Lemon Resort at Back/Station Streets, Dieppe Bay and ended at the St Kitts Eco Park, Sir Giles Estate, located between the Village of Newton Ground and Sandy Point town.

The route was along the island main road starting at 6am and concluded just after 8am.
It was well supported with over 75 participants most of whom are registered members of the Club whose membership is drawn from Residents of the Capisterre area and Sandy Point.
Apart from fulfilling its main aims and objectives to create awareness in our communities fight against the scourge of the high incidence of chronic Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) that plague mankind nationally, regionally and globally, this month’s walk was dedicated to the speedy and complete recovery of Mrs Rosalyn Bradshaw-Grant who has been lying in a comatose condition at the ICU of our JNF General Hospital since Sunday 20th August.
At the end of the Walk the participants, just before sitting down to have a healthy breakfast, joined hands and led by Sis Rylis Vasquez of the Dieppe Wesleyan Holiness Church, prayed to Almighty God for Rosalyn’s recovery.
Rosalyn is herself a Senior Nurse who retired several years ago from Jacobi Medical Center in New York and returned home to St Pauls to be a leading and active Community Worker, and President of the St Pauls Community Council. Prayers were also offered up for District Nurse Manager Shirmelle Rabb and family, having learned of the untimely passing of her daughter Nya Chiverton on Saturday morning. May God give comfort and strength to the families during this time of great sorrow and grief.
The CHAW Club, launched since May this year has been engaged in several activities including health walks, held on the final Saturday of each month.
