“The residents of West Basseterre, much like most residents around the Federation fared fairly well during the passage of Maria. There are some, however, who do need immediate relief to protect their families from leaking roofs,” Maynard said during the walk-through on Wednesday.

“I have taken note of those who need immediate relief, provided them with contact information of the NEMA representative for our area, and I will follow-up with NEMA after this walk through for follow though of the respective persons’ needs” said the first time Parliamentarian, following the tour of some of the areas.

“I will also assist where ever or however I can,” said Maynard, who noted the general sentiment of the residents that the Federation, once again had been spared the worst of the Hurricane.

“For that we must all be thankful to God Almighty,” said Maynard who will continue his walk-through over the next few days.

It was his second tour in as many weeks. The first followed the visit of Hurricane Irma.
