Jah Tutts And Son Charged In Major Drug Bust

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A father and son have been charged in what police are calling a major drug bust in the Buckleys Estate area early Wednesday morning (November 8).

Police say two search warrants were executed on two separate premises; that of Steadman “Jah Tutts” Adams and that of his son, Kwesi Adams.

WINN FM understands the raids took place on at the properties which are adjacent to each, just after 4am and lasted about 3 hours.

Police reported that large quantities of marijuana were found in both residences, and also found in Kwesi Adams’ house was EC$15,280 and US$1,387.

The find included several crocus bags of cured marijuana ready for sale along with a quantity of dried plants. Police are still in the process of having the drugs weighed and analyzed.

257 marijuana plants were also found growing in makeshift pots on the roof of the elder suspect’s home.

Steadman Adams and Kwesi Adams were on Thursday night charged with Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply. The senior Adams will be given an additional charge of Cultivation of cannabis.

A male relative of Kwesi Adams who was in the home when the search was conducted was also taken into police custody and is expected to be charged in connection to find.

The men are expected to go before the court on Friday to apply for bail.
