SKN PULSE – Nevis has recorded the first murder of the year in the Federation: young man gunned down in the streets of Rawlins earlier today.
While details are sketchy, this murder occurs on the heels of a statement made by Commissioner Queely during a Police Press Conference that,“there were decreases in the number of Murder and Manslaughter Offences in 2017 from 31 in 2016 to 23 in 2017.”
That preliminary statistic indicates that there was a 26% decline: however, a December murder in Gingerland still remains unsolved as are many others whilst the first recorded homicide for 2018 has occurred.
More information will be provided as details are made available.
Our Condolences to his Family & Friends.
