Speaker Perkins is “bold-faced and unashamed of his rulings” PM Harris accused of collusion
Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 24, 2018 – Another national of St. Kitts and Nevis has described the Speaker of the St. Kitts and Nevis, Michael Perkins as “bold-faced and unashamed in his rulings” in the National Assembly.
“The Speaker Is incompetent and he Is intentional in what he says and does to the side Opposite. He is so bold-faced and unashamed with his rulings and actions because of the support he receives,” said Gretna Lewis in response to Willa Liburd’s review of the sitting of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly and the ejection of the Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
Lewis, like thousands of Kittitians and Nevisians are of the view that “it was a sort of “set up” and premeditated on the Speaker’s part and the government side.”
“This dog and pony show of the House was arranged to embarrass the former Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition. They have nothing better to do. Vindictiveness, low-down nastiness, evil-mindedness, small-mindedness, pettiness, childishness, egotistical attitude and behavior permeates this (Team Unity Government of Dr. Timothy Harris) in the way they govern and rule,” posted Gretna.Lewis.
“This is the ‘new paradigm shift’ they spoke to while campaigning. Sadly, the folks voted for this. They voted for rulers not leaders,” she said.
“The Speaker is right there sitting, with supposedly two good eyes (do not know if he has a fake one), but can only see out of one. The one to the side of the government ministers. Today was planned. They got ‘satisfaction’ today, hope it is not a one-day fix. Their feeling of elation might last until they concoct another vicious and evil scheme. I’ve been hearing about what went on. Unfortunately, there will be more of such actions because of the government players including the speaker. We can do as much as we want, but not for as long as we want,” the Sandy Point-born Lewis posted.
