Unanswered Questions In MRI Scandal
The corrupt and vindictive coalition government led by Dr. Timothy Harris is doing the most to conceal the scandalous and unsafe use of the MRI Machine at the Monkey Farm, so much so that they have failed to answer a number of questions constantly being asked by the general public.
Citizens and residents of St. Kitts-Nevis are being forced to share an MRI machine with experimental monkeys. This unethical and highly impractical case is constantly being argued against by local Internist, Dr. Terrance Drew.
“When I was first told that the MRI machine was going to be shared with experiments primates I became very concerned. This type of practice I could not find in any progressive country. Would this be done in the USA , Canada or England; I doubt very much! This is very unethical!”
In challenging the Harris-led government, Dr. Drew revealed that the ordeal is another scam where family members of the Timothy Harris can benefit greatly.
“Why St. Kitts?!?! Is it because money and profit for a family that is placed ahead of human beings? What are their risks of contracting diseases from experimental monkeys? These questions must be answered.”
Dr. Drew reiterated some questions that are constantly put to Harris and his two failure-riddled Ministers of Health. To date, the questions have yet to be answered.
1. “Why is the cost so high?”
The government and their supporters have argued that the existing MRI machine was donated. This information has left persons even more confused as it highlighted more than ever how scandalous the Harris-led government really is.
It is obvious that Harris and his family members are brazenly making millions of dollars off the sick and infirm as persons continue to pay exorbitant prices for a machine that was donated.
Many of our citizens’ health are being adversely affected as the costs are extremely high and many cannot afford.
2. “Why did Harris block the purchase of an MRI machine by SIDF?”
Upon taking government in 2015, Harris and his cabal halted the purchase of an MRI machine by SIDF. This machine would have been placed at the JNF hospital and the cost to nationals would be much, much lower.
Ultimately, it must be noted that this block is so that the family could make millions from the machine at the Monkey Farm. Harris’ nephew Alexis Nisbett works at the Monkey Farm and is personally invested in the machine. His mother-in-law, Althea Byron, who works at National Caribbean Insurance (NCI), is personally refusing to sign off on payment to travel to Antigua for an MRI, thereby forcing people to use the animals’ machine so her daughter and son-in-law can be paid.
Althea Byron is the mother of Deputy Speaker, Senator Akilah Byron-Nisbett.
3. “Why are local Radiologists being sidelined?”
Despite the MRI machine being housed at the Monkey Farm and being shared between humans and experimental monkeys, the Harris-led government has failed to utilize local radiologists. Local radiologists are sidelined and the interpretations are made by outside radiologists.
The Federation boasts of two well-qualified persons here who can read MRIs at a very competent and professional level, but they are overlooked. Shameful!
In order for the health and safety of the nation to be preserved, the Harris-led government MUST BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE!!!
