Douglas asks constituents to help in search for missing Newton Ground villager

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 4, 2018 – The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) Parliamentary Representative, The Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has appealed to his constituents to help in the search of one of their residents reported missing.

Family members and the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force confirmed last Friday that Priston Joel Flemming of Newton Ground is missing.

Speaking at the end of last Saturday’s CHAW Walk, Dr. Douglas called on the membership and villagers to be mobilised and join the search parties that have been mounted.

“Deep fears are being expressed for his safety. Let’s all pray to the Almighty for his safe return and fortify his mom and family members who are all distraught at this time. We are deeply worried and concerned,” said Dr. Douglas, who is also Leader of the Opposition and the former prime minister.

 

Police said Flemming, who is 22 years old is five feet and seven inches tall, heavy build and brown eyes and is of light complexion.

“Priston Flemming was last seen by a family member on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at about 9 p.m. in the Old Road area. He was last seen wearing a white polo T-shirt and short dark khaki pants,” the police bulletin said.

The Police request that if anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Priston Flemming please contact the Sandy Point Police Station at 465-6261 or the nearest police station.
