Police confirm Food Court break-in; gave no details of similar crimes in other areas

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 30, 2018 – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has confirmed that several small businesses at the Food Court at Bird Rock were broken into on Monday night (March 26).


In a separate statement police also reported a number of building break-ins and Larcenies in Taylor’s Village, Frigate Bay, College Housing Site and Fortlands but gave no further details.

“At about 8 ‘o’ clock Tuesday morning, a call was made to the Police to report that six containers that housed different businesses were broken into. Investigations so far have revealed that a number of business owners and employees arrived for work Tuesday morning and discovered that the containers had been ransacked on the inside and a number of items, including an undisclosed sum of money, had been stolen,” the police statement said.

The Police said investigations into the matter are ongoing and urged persons with information regarding this incident to contact the Criminal Investigation Department at the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241 or their nearest police station.
