Two more robberies reported on Nevis

Charlestown, Nevis, March 31, 2018 – Reports of more robberies on Nevis.

According to multiple sources there was a robbery took place on Thursday night (Holy Thursday) and another last night (Good Friday).

No other information was immediately available.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has been tight-lipped on recent robberies on Nevis.

Police are yet to tell the public about the robberies at gunpoint of several American students studying medicine on that island in the Potworks area around 4 am on March 18.

Another American medical student was also robbed at gun point on the road on March 18.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force have not been informing the public on several serious crimes committed in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

There is widespread speculation the Ministry of National Security has directed the police not to provide information to the public on certain serious crimes.

The Office of the Prime Minister is also known to be paying some media houses and outlets not to carry details on serious crime.

Several local media houses and outlets are known to be receiving monetary subventions not only to turn a blind eye to crime, but also stifle the voice of the opposition St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and persons who have a differing view to the Harris-led Team Unity Government.
