PM HARRIS ENCOURAGED BY THE STRONG SHOW OF SUPPORT BY NATIONALS LIVING IN LONDON
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, April 16, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris left Sunday’s (April 15) town hall meeting with nationals living in London, England, and its surrounding communities with renewed vigor and commitment to serve the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
At the town hall meeting, held in Slough, England, Prime Minister Harris and Premier of Nevis, the Honourable Mark Brantley, updated the more than 200 nationals living in the United Kingdom of the many developments taking place in the twin island Federation.
Among the developments that were mentioned were the rehabilitation of the island main road project, the imminent start of construction on the second cruise pier at Port Zante and the signing of an agreement to bring the luxurious Six Senses hotel brand to St. Kitts.
Following informative remarks by Prime Minister Harris and Premier Brantley, a large number of nationals addressed the head table and offered suggestions and recommendations as to how the Team Unity Government can advance St. Kitts and Nevis even further.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction and tremendous support at the words of encouragement proffered by many of those in attendance at Sunday’s town hall meeting, and accepted requests made for him to visit other cities in England such as Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester on his next visit to the United Kingdom.
