SKNLP Gears Up For A Packed Month Of Activities

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) is gearing up to host a number of events scheduled for next month, May.

The events, which are jointly organised by the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades & Labour Union (SKNTLU) include public meetings, the 2018 Miss Labour Pageant, the Laying of the Wreaths at the graves of fallen heroes and stalwarts, the Labour Day March, the 86th Annual Conference of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and the Requiem Mass.

According to organizers within the movement, pre-Labour Day rallies have been scheduled for April 29th at Upper Market Street in Central Basseterre, May 3rd at Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s, and on May 6th in East Basseterre.

On May 5th, eight beautiful young ladies will represent their home constituencies and candidates in the 2018 Miss Labour Queen Pageant. The show will take place at Carnival Village at 7:30 pm.

The mini motorcade for the contestants is set for May 4th through the streets of Basseterre beginning at 3pm.

This year’s wreath-laying ceremony will not take place on the morning before the annual Labour Day march as accustomed. This time, it will be done the day before, Sunday 6th May.

The march will be on May 7th, Labour Day, and will begin with a massive breakfast rally at Patsy Allers Recreation Ground starting at 7:00 am before taking the streets of Basseterre.

The Party’s 86th Annual Conference will be held in two sessions with the business session being held on Saturday 19th May and the public session being hosted on Sunday 20th May.

Last but not least, the Requiem Mass will be hosted on Sunday, May 27th at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church at 4 pm.

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party wishes to invite everyone to attend the various events.
