Laying of wreaths Sunday afternoon and special event Sunday night at Public meeting in George Street, Newtown
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 6, 2018 – Major activities organised jointly by the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades & Labour Union (SKNTLU) and the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) to mark Labour Day 2018 continue Sunday 6th May.
Wreaths will be laid on the graves of National Heroes, Their Right Excellencies, Sir Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw, Sir Caleb Azariah Paul Southwell and Sir Joseph Nathaniel France; Their Excellencies Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore; Sir Cuthbert Montraville Sebastian, Sir Probyn Ellsworth Inniss and E. St. John Payne; Comrades Charles E. Mills; Owen Caines, Fitzroy Bryant and Fidel O’Flaherty.
A public meeting is scheduled for this evening (Sunday) at 8 p.m. at George Street, Newtown which includes a special event.
The traditional Labour Day March on May 7th will be preceded by a healthy breakfast at the Patsy Allers Recreation Ground starting at 7 ‘o’ clock. The March to be led by leaders of the Labour Movement including Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and President of the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades and Labour Union (SKNTLU), Mr. Joseph O’Flaherty starts at 10 am.
The 86th Annual Conference of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) is scheduled for Sunday May 20th May.
The annual Requiem Mass at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church is slated for May 27.
