EMPLOYEES SHOT AND INJURED, GRAZED DURING ARMED ROBBERY

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 07, 2018 (RSCNPF): Police received a call of an armed robbery at about 8 p.m. on May 06, at the Tomorrow’s Supermarket in Old Road.

Several units responded. Investigations so far have revealed that at the end of their shift, some of the employees exited through a door which led into an alley. They were making their way to their vehicle when they were held up by four (4) masked assailants, two of which were armed. The assailants demanded their money and two (2) shots were fired at the employees. Twenty-seven-yer-old Jian Qian Su who resides in McKnight was shot several times about the body, while Qiao Ting Shu of Market Street was grazed by a bullet on her leg. Jian Qian Su was transported to the J.N.F. Hospital where he is listed as being in a stable condition and Qiao Ting Shu was transported to the J.N.F. Hospital via private vehicle where she was treated and discharged.

The scene was processed and a number of items of evidential value were taken into police custody. Searches were also carried out by Police Officers and Soldiers from the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
