EVROL DANIEL SENTENCED FOR UNLAWFUL WOUNDING

 Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 26, 2018 (RSCNPF): Evrol Daniel of Butlers, Nevis who was charged for Unlawful Wounding was sentenced to two (2) years imprisonment for the offence.

Daniel, who pleaded guilty to the offence earlier in the assizes, was sentenced to three (3) years imprisonment with a suspended sentence for two (2) years. If he commits any offence during the two-year period the sentence will take effect. An additional charge of Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm was withdrawn. The sentencing took place at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on May 18, 2018.

 This incident occurred on August 14, 2016 outside the Butlers Holiness Church.
