Police confirm attempted murder in St. Kitts

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 26, 2018 – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has confirmed the attempted murder of a Saddlers young man on Friday

 night.

A police statement said several of its units responded to a report of gun shots.

“Preliminary investigations so far have revealed that at about 10:30 p.m., a number of persons were by a shop along the island main road when they heard gun shots being fired and they ran. Further enquiries revealed that Javed Daniel who resides in Saddlers Village was shot several times about the body,” the police statement said.

Daniel was transported to the J.N.F. Hospital in a private vehicle where he underwent emergency surgery and is listed as being in a stable condition.

“Police investigations into the matter are ongoing. Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1887, 467-1888, 662-3468,” said the statement.
