Police investigating death of 82-year-old granny
Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 4, 2018 – Police confirmed Monday it was investigating the suspicious death of 82-year-old Iona Nicholas of Ponds Estate.
Police said the senior citizen discovered dead in her home by one of her grandsons.
“Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding Nicholas’ death and an autopsy is expected to be performed shortly. One person is in Police custody assisting with investigations into the matter which are ongoing,” the police statement said.
The statement called on persons with information regarding this incident to contact o call any Police Station or the Violent Crimes Unit at 467-1887, 467-1888, 662-3468
If the death is unnatural, it would be the 15th murder for 2018 in St. Kitts and Nevis.
