REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 21, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period June 19-20, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested/Bailed: Kevin Gaskin of New Road, St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed:  Kevaughn Browne of Salt Pond Alley, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Zeron Carey of Conaree, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Leon Isaac of Conaree Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Enslie Lewis of Prickly Pear Alley, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Akeem Chumney of Fort Thomas Road, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Bailed:  Marlo Martin of Stapleton Village who was charged for the offence of Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply and Importation of Cannabis, was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

 In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, which was presided over by His Honour Mr. Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:

– Wasim Howe of Conaree Village, who was charged for Possession of Cannabis, pleaded guilty to the charge and was ordered to pay $6,000 in one (1) month or, in default, serve six (6) months imprisonment;

– Anathalia Francis of Pitcairn Street, Newtown, who was charged for Possession of Cannabis, pleaded guilty to the charge and was ordered to pay $6,000 in three (3) months or, in default, serve six (6) months imprisonment.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers of District “B” reported that they uprooted fifty (50) mature marijuana plants in the Ottleys area.

Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties. Most recently they were done in the areas of Upper Shaw Avenue, Sandy Point, Maude Nisbett Alley, Upper Cayon, Lodge Village and Newtown.
