REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 02, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period June 28-29, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Tahirah Tyson of Station Street, Old Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Larceny committed between June 01, 2017 and February 06, 2018.

Arrested: Raheem Browne of Conaree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License.

Arrested: Sheron Audain Raposo De-Leon of Upper Malone Avenue was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Larceny and Receiving.

Arrested/Bailed: Stanley Hopson of Keys Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 05, 2018.

COURT CONVICTION:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following convictions were reported:

– Mc Harold Wilson of Lodge Project was convicted and fined $150 to be paid  in seven (7) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison for stopping to allow passengers to get off in an area not designated for such;

– Mechiel Francis of St. Johnston Village for the offence of Failing to Comply with Traffic Directions Given by Traffic Sign;

– David Jarvis of Bamboo Terrace Housing, Molineaux was convicted and cautioned for allowing passengers to get out in an area not designated for such;

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Lower Shaw Avenue, Sandy Point, Conaree Dorset Village, Mad House and Pitcairn Street (Newtown).
