REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 23, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period July 18-20 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL: 

Arrested: Devon Parris of Stoney Grove was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.

Arrested: Conrad Clarke of Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Unlawful Possession.

Arrested/Bailed: Calvin Richards of Green Tree Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving an Unlicenced Vehicle and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the District “B” Magistrate Court on August 13, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Royden Gumbs of Middle Island was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Document. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on August 13, 2018 with the condition that he is to report to the Old Road Police Station every Monday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

BailedO’Shane Colbourne of Trafalgar Village, who was arrested for the offence of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, was granted bail in the sum of $25,000 with the conditions that he is to: (1) surrender all travel documents; (2) report to the Basseterre Police Station on Mondays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.; and (3) stay away from the Virtual Complainant.

Bailed:  Verez Dore of Bath Village, who was formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance, was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on July 24, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the District at the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:

– Clifford Ible of Clico Development, Douglas Estate was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without Seatbelt;

– Etienne Henry of Lodge Project was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without the Relevant Licence;

– Donald Caines of Taylors Village was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without the Relevant Licence;

– Jeanille Osborne of Boyds Project was convicted and fined $150 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve five (5) days in prison for Failing to Comply WithTraffic Sign;

– Nadia Maynard of Infirmary Road was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without the Relevant Licence;

– Sean O’Flaherty of Sandy Point was convicted and cautioned for Driving Without Seatbelt;

– Tevine Coker of Bird Rock was convicted and fined $150 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Failing to Comply with a Traffic Sign;

– Bernard Browne of New Road was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without Seatbelt;

– Vincia Matthew of Molineaux was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without Seatbelt;

– Giselle Matthew of Frigate Bay was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve seven (7) days in prison for Failing to Place Licence Sticker on Windshield;

– Karen Douglas of Sandy Point was convicted and cautioned for Driving Without Due Care and Attention;

– Zaccel Charles of Cayon was convicted and cautioned for Driving Without Due Care and Attention;

– Jamal Sack of Fiennes Avenue was convicted and fined $750 to be paid in four (4) months or, in default, serve four (4) months in prison for Driving Without Insurance;

– Stanequa Henry of New Road was convicted and cautioned for Driving Without Due Care and Attention.

– Alston Mitchum of Cayon was convicted and fined $150 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Off the Bus Route.

– Great Egesimba of Upper Cayon was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Driving Without a Seatbelt.

– Zaeed Charles of Cayon was convicted and fined $200 to be paid in three (3) days or, in default, serve (3) days in prison for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence.

– Clive Martin of Greenlands was convicted and fined on the following matters; (i) convicted and fined $150 to be paid in one (1) month or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence; (ii) convicted and fined $750 to be paid in two (2) months or, in default, serve two (2) months in prison for Driving Without Insurance; and (iii) convicted and fined $150 to be paid in one (1) month for Driving Without Valid or Unexpired Driver’s Licence.

– Tristan Richardson of Harry Phipps, Halfway Tree was convicted and cautioned for Driving with Blue Lighted Lamps.

– Leroy Eddy of Willets Village, St. Pauls was convicted and fined $400 to be paid in six (6) weeks or, in default, serve one (1) month in prison for Driving Without Due Care and Attention.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: 

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Walwyn Street, Ponds Pasture, Conaree Village, Upper Cayon, Ottleys, Stoney Grove, Bouncing Hill (Sandy Point)  and Bath Village.
