REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 16, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the periodAugust 11-15, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Emmanuel Soriano Rodriguez of New Ponds Site was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid an Unexpired Driver’s Licence and Driving Without Insurance.

Arrested: Akeem Reid of Brown Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance, Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Consent of Owner or Authority.

Arrested: David Morgan of Craddock Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance, Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Consent of Owner or Authority.

Arrested/Bailed: Steve Lake of Willets Estate, St. Pauls was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on September 06, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Esau Underwood of White House, St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on September 07, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Mrs. Karen Hill-Hector, the following were reported:

– Stephen Warner of Bird Rock, who was charged for Driving Without Due Care, was fined $500 to be paid forthwith or serve thirty (30) days in prison;

– Glenroy Pringle of Dieppe Bay was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Kelwyn Bradshaw of Buckleys Site was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Kelvon Dickenson of StPauls was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

 Cirtnel Buchanan of Sandy Point was convicted for the offence of Exceeding the Speed Limit and was fined $1,000 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Darren Moses of St. Pauls was convicted for the offence of Driving Without Insurance and he was fined $1,500 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Rodney Baptiste of Buckley’s Site was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Headlamp and was fined $200 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve thirty (30) days in prison;

 Ron Hodge of Mansion was convicted for the offence of Driving Without License and Insurance. He was fined $150 to be paid forthwith or serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Dwight Edwards of Conaree was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance.  He was fined $150 to be paid forthwith or serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Jamien Clarke of Christ Church was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Ebenezer Connor of St. Paul’s was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in seven (7) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Kazenel Maynard of St. Paul’s was convicted for the offence of Driving Without a Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison;

– Bernard Boland of Basseterre was convicted for offence of Driving Without a Seatbelt and was fined $150 to be paid in two (2) days or, in default, serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers from the District “B” Patrol reported that they uprooted three hundred and fifty-six (356) cannabis plants on a lot in the Hermitage area. The plants ranged from ten (10) inches to two (2) feet in height.

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Fort Thomas Road, West Bourne Ghaut, Bouncing Hill, Farm Site, Westbourne Ghaut and Conaree.
