ONE CHARGED AND ANOTHER IN CUSTODY FOR POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION
Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 04, 2018 (RSCNPF): A woman was charged for Possession of Ammunition following a search operation conducted by the Police on Tuesday, October 02.
The operation was carried out at the ferry terminal late Tuesday afternoon. Police intercepted a package that was collected from a ferry and, upon searching it, five (5) .38 rounds of ammunition were discovered. As a result, two persons were taken into Police custody.
One of the two individuals, Tameika Pereira, also known as Tammy of Prickley Pear Alley, was subsequently charged for the offence of Possession of Ammunition. She has since received bail in the sum of $7,000 with two sureties for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on November 05.
The second individual remains in Police custody. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
