Mixed luck for Constituency Number Six teams in Constituency Number Seven Domino League

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 5, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Three games had been slated to be played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project on Thursday October 4 in the tenth segment of the second round of the round-robin stage in the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition.

One game, between defending champions Lodge Domino Club and Christchurch Domino Club was however shifted to the neighbouring Cuban Bar as the number of spectators who had travelled from Constituency Number Six to witness their clubs, Parsons and Saddlers play were in their numbers. Lodge edged out Christchurch 13-10.

The end result was that the Lodge Community Centre simultaneously hosted the two teams from the neighbouring constituency. Parsons had the best of their time as they surprised and suppressed the home opponents Small Corner Bar where at one time they were leading 11-1. However Small Corner Bar fought back but the added energy was not good enough to offset the huge deficit and Parsons returned to Number Six with a 13-8 win.

Saddlers who were meeting Giants at the same venue were not as lucky. After a heated game the visitors wilted allowing the home team Giants a 13-9 victory. On the same evening, two games were played at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux where Phillips beat Molineux 13-3, and Guinness beat Unstoppable 14-12. The final game saw Sylvers beat Beers 13-9 at Tacky Bar in Hidden Alley Lodge Village

With only three segments of the second round of the round-robin stage in the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition remaining, the teams are now taking their assignments rather seriously. The eleventh segment, which will be played on Tuesday September 9 and has six games at six venues, is expected to produce some real fireworks.

The Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux will see Giants host Phillips; Shanty Bar in Saddlers Village will see home team Saddlers come up against Unity; Sylvers will host champions Lodge at Tacky Bar in Hidden Alley, Lodge Village; Parsons will be at home to Molineux at Bradshaw Bar in Parsons Village; Beers will attempt to tame Unstoppable at Bernette Bar in Hidden Alley, Lodge Village; and Small Corner Bar will entertain Guinness at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project.
