BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 8, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — It was a mixed bag of fortunes when the first two matches, of the six in the final-four playoffs, took place on Sunday October 7 at the Mansion Stadium in the ‘Boys on the Ground’ James Harris T20 Cricket League.

In the first match of the afternoon, Lodge won the toss and put Limers to bat and the latter were 72 all out in 14 overs, with Ansel Revan making 21 runs and Kennedy Hazel making 17 runs. Bowling for Lodge, Valentine Anthony took three for eight, and Jaheel Clarke two for 7.

Lodge batting, they made 73 runs for four in nine overs. Ackazie Richards made 24 runs and national player Jaheel Clarke 21 runs. Bowling for Limers, Kennedy Hazel took three for 18. Lodge drew the first blood in the last-four playoffs by beating Limers by six wickets. Umpires for this game were members of the St. Kitts Cricket Umpires Association, Tynetta McKoy and Thelma Gumbs.

In the second match of the afternoon between Back Street (winner in Group ‘B’) and Molineux (runners up in Group ‘A’) that was also reduced to 15 overs, Molineux won the toss and elected to bat. They made 80 runs for six in their 15 overs, with Kevin Phillip 27 not out. Bowling for Back Street Phillip Webbe took two for four.
