Parsons extend winning streak in Constituency Number Seven Domino League
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 10, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Parsons Domino Club have shown what they are made of when on Tuesday October 9 they extended their current winning streak, as the second round of the round-robin stage in the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition entered its eleventh segment.
The two teams from Constituency Number Six had home games, where Parsons Domino Club met Molineux Domino Club in Bradshaw Bar, Parsons Ground, and at the end of the marathon game the home team scored a handsome victory – 13-3. Saddlers who entertained the immediate former champions Unity in Shanty Bar, Saddlers Village, were not as lucky as the visitors left Constituency Number Six with a 13-9 victory.
With only two segments of play in the second round remaining, Parsons is one of the teams to watch. The second round of the round-robin stage started rather disastrously for Parsons as they lost the first game on September 3 at home to Champions Lodge, followed by a humbling loss to Sylvers also at home on September 6. They won the third game against Phillips, but when they entertained sister team Saddlers in the fourth segment, they lost.
The team must have put their act together and acting like persons stung by bees, for the fifth segment they travelled to Cuban Bar in Lodge Project and beat home team and immediate former champions Unity. In the sixth segment they beat the highly acclaimed Unstoppable, and in the seventh segment they beat Giants. They did not have a playing assignment in the eighth segment, and when they returned for the ninth segment on October 2 they beat Guinness, while on the tenth segment on October 4 they beat Small Corner Bar.
In other games played on Tuesday October 9, Giants collected a 13-0 default win over Phillips who failed to raise enough players for the game that was due to take place at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux. Champions Lodge beat Sylvers 13-8 in Tacky Bar, Hidden Alley Lodge Village; Unstoppable beat Beers 13-5 at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project; while Small Corner Bar beat Guinness 13-8 in Cuban Bar, Lodge Project.
Twelfth segment of play in the second round of the round-robin stage in the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition will see six games being played at five venues. Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project will host two games, Giants vs. champions Lodge, and Molineux vs. Small Corner Bar.
The other games will see Unity entertaining Unstoppable in Cuban Bar, Lodge Project; Sylvers entertaining Phillips in Tacky Bar, Hidden Alley Lodge Village; Christchurch entertaining Parsons in Domino House, Mansion Village; and Beers entertaining Saddlers in Bernette Bar, Hidden Alley Lodge Village.
