POLICE INVESTIGATING ARMED ROBBERY AT SPORTS BAR ON BAY ROAD
Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 14, 2018 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred at a sports bar on the Irishtown Bay Road Friday night (October 12).
The Police received the report of the robbery just after 11 p.m. on Friday and responded. Investigations so far have revealed that several persons were inside the bar when five (5) armed masked men entered and ordered everyone on the floor. The assailants then robbed them of personal belongings. They also took a large sum of money from the cash register before fleeing the scene. It was also reported that one of the assailants hit the bartender across her head.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing. Persons with information regarding this incident are urged to call the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241 ext. 4220 or 4231 or to contact the nearest Police Station.
