The Minister of Education, Honorable Shawn. K. Richards finally released the name of the State Scholar last night in a press release. Having used the predetermined criteria, past student of the *Verchilds High School, Mr. Khale Thomas* was identified as the State Scholar. This is a remarkable feat as he is now recognized as the *first past student* in the school’s history to have captured such a prestigious academic title in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
