Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 27, 2018 (SKNIS): Citizens, residents and visitors alike, are being encouraged to play their part in ensuring that the 2018-2019 Carnival Season is safe and incident-free.

So, please be vigilant,” said Minister Hamilton. “We want a Carnival that is incident-free and accident-free, and I suggest, to those of you when you are fêting – keep your faculties in gear so that you don’t do things you will regret,” he added.

Minister Hamilton noted that fêtes such as Inception fête; Powder fête; Cooler fête; Wet and Flag fête to name a few, have “become an integral part of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Carnival and they have served to transform Sugar Mas into a more attractive tourism product.” He used the occasion to express thanks to one and all for “contributing to our cultural heritage and being part of what will become our Carnival legacy in the future”
