Senator Byron-Nisbett thanks PM Harris and constituents of #7 for continued support

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 27, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Deputy National Leader of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP), Senator the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, is expressing gratitude to Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher Seven (Belle Vue to Ottley’s) for support he has continued to give her over the years.

On Friday evening November 23 Senator Byron-Nisbett who is Team Unity’s Caretaker for St. Christopher Three accompanied Prime Minister Harris, who is also the National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party, on a ‘meet and greet’ walkthrough in Phillip’s Estate Yard as part of celebrations by Constituency Number Seven to mark his 25 years of service as a parliamentarian.

“Being able to come here this evening with the Prime Minister and seeing him in action, it is really a pleasure and I am really thankful that he continues to motivate me and keep me going,” said Senator Byron-Nisbett. “Being able to do exercises like these I am always grateful for that and I know the people of Number Seven continue to be supportive to him.”

The Honourable Senator noted that taking part in the walkthrough made her get a feeling of what it means to campaign from the Constituency Seven standpoint and observed it was always a pleasure to be able to be with the Prime Minister and his team as they do the different events and walkthroughs on the calendar of events for the 25th anniversary celebrations.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation for the Prime Minister’s continued support towards my own professional development and for continuing to make such a profound impact within his constituency and the country as a whole,” said Senator Byron-Nisbett.

In her conclusion she said: “Having participated in the celebratory events marking the Prime Minister’s 25 years of Service as a Parliamentarian and just being able to see first-hand how he has been of service to the people, especially the people of Number Seven is truly an honour for me.”

While thanking Senator Akilah Byron-Nisbett for accompanying him and the constituency team on the ‘meet and greet’ walkthrough in Phillip’s Estate Yard, Prime Minister Harris observed that the Constituents of Number Seven very much desire that she becomes the next elected member for Number Three.

“She can count on a robust support from the people of Constituency Seven, and indeed the entire country, as we begin the process of mobilisation in her favour,” said the PLP National Political Leader. “My advice in this is critical. This is important as this is where the rubber meets the road. This is where meaningful dialogue and engagement comes which allows you to see in the hearts and in the minds of the constituents, and to be able to respond.”
