Yesterday’s events capped off a competitive and exciting near month-long cook-off challenge.

Minister of Youth Empowerment, the Honourable Shawn Richards, congratulated the participants and encouraged them to continue enhancing their skills.
“I say congratulations to all the students. In a real way you see young people being involved and given the opportunity to showcase their skills,” said Minister Richards, adding that the competition provides an excellent training ground for preparing future professional chefs.
Minister Richards told the students that they are all winners and that they should be proud of themselves, as he himself is very proud of the work that they have showcased.
Saddlers Secondary School chefs were awarded the first-runner up position, while the Washington Archibald High School chefs came in second. Other participating schools were the Basseterre High, the Cayon High and the Charles E. Mills Secondary.
