FOUR CHARGED FOR FIREARM FOUND IN NEVIS

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 14, 2018 (RSCNPF): The four persons who were taken into Police custody in relation to a firearm that was found in the Rawlins area in Nevis have all been charged.

On December 11, 2018, Marcella Elliott and Monecia Freeman, both of Rawlins Village, Kimoy Huggins of Hamilton, and Leshon Freeman of Hard Times have been charged for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Smuggling of Firearm.

Officers from the Nevis Division, the Special Services Unit, the Regional Security Service (RSS), along with Soldiers from the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force conducted several operations throughout Nevis on December 10. During one of the operations, a .38 revolver with several rounds of ammunition was found on the premises of a home.
